An upgrade of a City of Phoenix maintenance facility and fueling station

Story
The city of Phoenix needed to upgrade and remodel a maintenance facility that entailed the removal of outdated fiberglass fuel storage tanks that were replaced with four (4) 12,000-gallon double-walled Titan underground steel tanks – a superior option over fiberglass – that were manufactured by Eaton Sales & Service LLC. Scope-of-work entailed:
- All required permitting
- Concrete removal
- Underground fiberglass tanks removal with a crane
- Additional excavation for and installation of newly manufactured Titan fuel storage steel tanks
- Backfill and installation of tank top accessories
- Installation of piping, sump hardware and new island
- Pea gravel bedding for trenches
- Concrete and paving
- Installation of fuel dispensers and hanging hardware
- Electrical wiring
- Canopy
- Station start up, testing and final inspection
